Welcome to the Everyday PE Website!
Everyday PE is a unique program with a distinct focus. We recognize the dynamic relationship that exists between the body, mind and spirit. Our programs and classes will celebrate more than just the physical aspects of sports and physical activity. In addition to learning to play games well, we focus on the development of attitudes and character that create both successful teams and individuals. Everyday PE participants will learn the important place that sportsmanship plays in the “physical education environment.”

Let’s face it, not everyone will be a star athlete, a high school athlete, or a collegiate athlete. However, Everyday PE believes that everyone should be able to participate in sports with a higher level of skill and an honest appreciation for the skill development process. We enjoy the challenge of taking a variety of skill levels for a particular activity, and bringing them together in such a way that everyone develops together, supports each other’s unique talents and abilities, and defends everyone’s right for quality daily PE.

Someday soon, schools in our country, public or private, will recognize that the benefits of daily physical education are much more substantial than the scholars have been pointing out for years. Daily PE truly develops children physically, mentally, socially and affectively. When kids are healthy, when they feel good about themselves, when they can see the “big picture” as it relates to developing skill and learning, they will THRIVE in school! MCAS tests…look out!

I have been coaching and teaching PE for most of my life. I have seen both the good and the bad as it relates to youth sports and PE. I have also seen the dramatic positive changes that take place in a child when they are involved in a quality daily PE experience.

Years ago I developed a very successful Summer Program which had daily PE offerings for students. Students participated in a wide range of wellness and sport activities. At the end of each summer, the amount of parental feedback was always astounding: “my kid loves getting up in the morning…my son has lost so much weight… my daughter wants to play soccer next year… my son actually gets to bed at a decent hour… my child has met some great new friends…my child has never liked PE before…”

The PE we all grew up with has changed quite a bit. Every child can develop and feel good about themselves!
